Readers thread: what or who are you reading right now?

@LuckiLee .... Oh always Ranger. He likes her just as she is, isn’t embarrassed by what she sucks at but either pitches in to help or helps her get better, and is amused by her faults or finds them challenging. That’s a Great partner, right there. Long term happiness on both sides, when people see each other for who they are, approve right down to the ground, and assist the other in every way possible. Synergistic.

Morelli wants to change everything about her, is mortified by her bumbling, hates her choices, and is alternatingly hurt or furious -or hurt and furious- about her faults. He wants a Stephanie shaped doll who is as he imagines her to be, instead of who she actually is. To be fair, so does she. A Morelli shaped doll who thinks entirely differently about her than she does. Their relationship is between the imaginary people in their heads. Whomthey want the other person to be, instead of who they are.

The Malice of Waves Mark Douglas-Home Penguin Books 2016

A fictional novel about a Oceanographer who uses his knowledge to solve crimes where people have gone missing at sea. Not a bad story and some interesting oceanic facts thrown in. :)

Ferment for Good - Ancient foods for the modern gut - Sharon Flynn - Hardie Grant Books 2018 (?)

Working the "Warrior Goddess Training" full series by HeatherAsh Amara(gift from a friend). Also doing döstädning as per "The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning" by Margareta Magnusson.

Clear To The Horizon Dave Warner Freemantle Press

Fantastic book. Fast paced and really interesting. Lots of twists & turns but still quite emotional.

It's loosely based on what became known as the Clairmont killings. A serial killer was on the loose in Perth, Western Australia a while back. It's not a factual book but it uses those events to springboard into quite a riveting thriller/mystery. The author has a quirky sense of humour (very Australian) and he ranges from the surf & ocean, crocodiles to desert. :)
