So I finally got some records from National Personel Records Center.

Sadly but perhaps expected, it was off by a mile on what I asked for. I asked for all medical records and personal evaluations from my active career. What I got was.

-A letter containing further instructions for requesting information and 2 appologies for the quality of the copies they gave me.
-2 barely legible copies of my DD214.
-2 hokey looking certificates of military service. Never seen them before.
-My enlistment physical.
-My enlistment papers.

So now I go again and request more info. I'm thinking most of my active service may be in my Reserve file as that I did a few semi-proud years in the Navy Active Reserve and those are the last people who had my full file so....

I don't f*cking know. I can barely prove anything with the shit they gave me. I know the damn file is about 2 inches thick. Geuss you really got to want it.

Oh and I forgot. The one NJP I had in my career "getting a drinking stamp while being underage" 100 dollar fine. They gave me a copy of that, best copy in the bunch. Thanks a f*cking lot. WTF?

How/who did you query for the info? I went through a woman at Randolph AFB and got more than I knew existed. Right down to tongue lashings from a guy I like(d) to call Col. Clusterf*ck the 3rd.

I think if you hunt down navy reserves hhq or maybe wherever dept of the navy might be, maybe Norfolk, Va?? You can get to the bottom of it. Wish I had a direct access for you.

Wagon, all they are is a couple of flaming hoops, call em and lay it on real thick to the point of making yourself almost vomit from your warm tone, neutrality and good spirit.

Wagon,

Ya have to be honest - they are consistent.

When I FOIA'd them for my records the only crisp copy was the NJP as was yours. They never change these "in your face" shit heads.

Of the 7 awards I was entitled to only one was in my jacket. I did the round-robin with the a$$holes for about 3 years before I took the copies of the 11 requests I made to to my Congress critter and 2 Senators and cc'd the Department of the Navy. For some reason the empty suits at NPRC seem to jump a bit higher when the empty suits in Congress come-a-calling.

Call your congressman they will jerk you off for ever if you let them.
