Rescue

Downloaded this onto my kindle last night.

I have read a few chapters and it is interesting how it is going so far.

The ex has just turned up and his throwing his weight about.

Amethist, when that ex is there with them, he says something about her wanting to be saved by a man. That made me think if that is the real reason, or an additional one for the book being "Rescue". But I'm not done, so no clue.

I finished this book last night.

I wont spoil for anyone who is still reading it, but the ending is wonderful.

A really good read.

It has turned around for me. What happened surprised me and I can't wait to read on tomorrow. Not much left.

I kind of saw the "Rescue" title as encompassing the entire plot. In the beginning, he rescues her. In the end, she comes to the rescue.

Also, their daughter ultimately rescues their relationship.

Another thing, I'm having trouble with the (medical) acronyms/abbreviations

I could guess or bypass a lot of the acronyms, but I was baffled by what sort of clothing a "zippered vest" was!

Do you remember where in the book it was, Hashi? My hubs wears a zippered polar fleece vest to work sometimes, and that probably would have been my first thought. Some of the other firefighters he works with have them too. Personally, I think they look dorky, but they don't consult me. ;)

I don't know where in the book, I heard it as an audiobook, but it was mentioned more than once. I kept imagining a grandad style knitted sleeveless pullover.:D

From what you said, is it like what we'd call a gillet?
