Welcome Ryair,
Its is very carring of you to seek support for your husband. PTSD is not a walk in the park especally when you first begin to notice the changes in you and others reactions to them. It can me an emotionaly overwhelming time. You are dealing with the actual bagage that comes along with the PTSD and the guilt that comes along when you see how it affects your loved ones. You feel so horrible inside and dont wish that feeling upon anyone else, especially a loved one. The sufferer also has to deal with how everyone else sees them, society is not very understanding on anything to do with disorders such as PTSD, so shame can also come along. A feeling of worthlessness can also result, you feel that you are not as strong as you should be and hate your self for not being able to control your actions and reactions.
I really must commend you for your supportive attitude towards the situation. There are many people that see us vets as broken and no longer the "tough" guys we once were and leave us since they are no longer able to put up with us and OUR problems. No matter how much some one tells you they want to be alone for your sake, it really means the world when you stick around for the storm. I am sure you have realized that it can be pretty bad at times and it is a long ride.
Welcome Again!
