Watched a documentary thing from 2009; 'zeitgeist' the other day. I can't stop thinking about it.

I know I'm late to the party no doubt, but what the f*ck do ya'll over the pond make of that?

Call me British but I feel sick.

If you are talking about Zeitgeist: The Movie released on the internet in 2007 (zeitgeistmovie.com) I think they (really one man made it, Peter Joseph) are partially right about the historical Jesus. But the rest about 9/11 and all the banking consipracies, I don't think so.

He really gets too far when he states that buildings were blown up on 9/11 and not hit by aircraft as I saw on three separate channels that day. And I know a few people who were actually there. One is a fireman.

But he gives himself away when he says the income tax is illegal. There are a bunch of groups that believe all that crap here in the US. Posse Comitus is the name of one of them. (Speaking of terrorists.)

I guess it's entertainment. Like Fox News.

The jesus theory was interesting and a favourite. The 9/11 thing was difficult to watch. I don't know a person who doesn't know where they were when that happened.

That guy who made it just makes me want to continue avoiding social media and everything else that's depressing.

Good summary Vik, cheers.

That was the day I started watching Fox News. I heard that groan! I had just gotten up and my wife said a plane flew into a building in New York. I punched favorites on the remote...nothing on CNN, or NBC, or whatever other criminally left people watch and hit Fox. One of their field reporters grabbed a camera man and they ran the however many blocks until they hit the dust and smoke. I was thinking Cessna, with all that dust, no way.

Then, someone came up with video. Then the other tower. That sealed it. Under attack. I figured nukes, the whole thing. I realized just how unprepared I was and then realized it really didn't matter, neither of us were in any shape to go into survival mode. So, planted my ass, popped a beer and said to hell with it.

So, the hell with it.

When ever any situation occurs there will always be those that will think it's a conspiracy. There is and probably will never be an end to those things. Whether true or not is always hard to say. Sometimes the data is compelling and other times it's just over the top.

When 9/11 occurred the opinions from around the world that I heard were astounding and shocking. I was working at Upenn in Philly at the time. The city just stopped; it was the most scared I'd been since returning from 'Nam. I was sure the 'next' wave was coming. I just got a chill thinking about that. Literally got the last train out of the city going to the suburbs. Got off the train in my home town and it was a beautiful sunny day. It all seems so surreal and bizarre. Sorry if I made a right turn in this thread.

And now back to our show. (Ed Sullivan)

I didn't like the governments actions with Waco. I didn't like Ruby Ridge. I think that the police and ATF even the FBI have adopted the idea that they can and will do whatever they like and we as the people they are supposed to protect are somehow the enemy.

They all have a very militaristic view of law enforcement. Why would any law enforcement have belt fed machine guns? They do. They were obtained from federal grants and programs where they can obtain used military gear to help with law enforcement. Recently I heard about them getting mwrap trucks. Mine resistant transportation for local law enforcement? WHY?

Talk about the government overstepping its boundaries. Lets look at the Oklahoma Federal building that was truck bombed. With a remote detonator and an ampho style bomb. Timmy and his buddy went from black powder pipe bombs to a truck bomb with a remote detonator and a completely different type of explosive. And he made a huge bomb that worked the first time with no help. And no training other than army service. He had no clue from any of his service how to manufacture a bomb like this. I seriously think he had help. I could even believe that there was some sort of sting involved where the FBI might have helped him with the bomb in order to catch him being a terrorist. Something like that could have happened. It was pretty strange how he was captured so quickly.

9/11 two planes flew into the buildings. there was not only evidence from video but the debris from the building as well. Invent all the reasons you might as to why those men did what they did, I don't think you can say it didn't happen.

I think we can do things that help. I think we do every day. As vets we are more observant of our surroundings and of things that don't quite fit in. I think we are a viable deterrent and one of the main reasons there are not car bombs going off in our cities. I don't know what else I can do but be observant and report what I see. Crime happens here in the US. But most criminals get caught rather quickly. I cant see terrorism having much of a chance beyond a first strike capability. A terror cell would be rooted out most ricky tick imo.

I think major corporations run our country. Most of the politicians are for sale and act on the behalf of the big corps. not for the individual. I think money is the basis for the reasons most political decisions are made now a days. We are being turned into sheep.

I looked for some links to some of the things I brought up. I am not supporting any of the links or sites, I just attached them as they support some of the things I mentioned.

If this is ok, what else is going on that we have no clue about? What kind of planning and policies exist "just incase". What ever happened tot he constitution? If "just incase" happens, What happens to the rights of the people? Belt fed .50's on mwraps are the norm. Why not a few tanks and some sp arty as well?

I guess it's entertainment. Like Fox News.

Entertainment? As in Jon Stewart or any late night entertainment. But if you prefer rant media that would start with MSNBC and end with any network news media, as it is all slanted to the paymaster. Media is BS, starting with the major networks who have the most experience with it like Dan Rather-not...and on
