I hope you R - O - C - K your new hairstyle
@FauxLiz! I used to have about 1/2 yr. ago extremely long hair almost down to my waist and I about three or so months ago cut my hair very, very short. And I at first didn't like the drastic change and felt less than a woman (not that I ever felt whole after nearly entire life being so sexually, verbally, and mentally traumatized) and am now trying to heal from it all.
Now, I like it -
FREEDOM. No longer do I have to take care for all that hair and I was told recently by one of my specialist physicians when she walked into exam room, "Oh, you look so cute I love your hair!" It does not matter how others see me, treat me, etc. it's all about how I view myself inside and out. So you go girl - ROCK that new hairstyle!
As you know, there are some women sporting no hair styles due to alopecia (for a great number and variety of reasons) and I see them each and everyone as
BEAUTIFUL! Trying to look in the mirror and not see a morphed and disfigured human being (I have body dysmorphia badly) and I am trying to learn to love myself with all flaws and all. For most, hair grows back and for some, not so much. Hope this helps. JJ
