Wooooo!

Am so excited! Got offered some last minute tickets today. Big crowd is likely to be stressful, but WHO CARES! It's U2!!!!

I'm learning that you have to push yourself; not enough to make you go crazy or anything, but definately out of your comfort zone where it's triggering but manageable, or nothing will ever change.

U2!!!!

:occasion:

Can I come Too?

Seriously, I am glad you feel you can tackle the crowds. That is BIG, in my opinion.

Wish my wife felt the same way! Gone to several rock concerts on my own but I need to keep doing what I want to do and not just veg. at home.

Going to see Creed 9/2 here. Live music is just so great!

When are you going? I'll drink a beer and think of you!

Hey,

I guess the crowd thing is a big thing! I'm hoping we have seat tickets instead of standing, I think I might find standing a bit too stressful. At least with the seats there's a bit of limited personal space!

Wow I remember Creed, they were famous over here for a bit late 90's. I didn't know they were still around!

Agreeing with you on the live music, nothing compares. Got another gig mid september, so I'm hoping I'm ok after this one.

U2 is on saturday! Enjoy the drink :occasion:

I'm seeing U2 in 44 days! It will be my third time. I saw them in 2001 (Elevation) and again in 2005 (Vertigo).

Standing is better than sitting if you want to get really close. My first time we had seats, but in 2005 we camped out for 6 hours and we got to stand right against the stage!!!

This year, I'm getting there 12-24 hours ahead of time.

And if you have seats, you'll probably end up standing anyway because as soon as Bono runs out onto the stage everybody stands! But with seats, you'll have way more space to move (and dance if you want to).

Will this be your first time at a U2 concert? U2 concerts are very spiritual/emotional but loads of fun at the same time. Have a blast!:thumbs-up

Ooo, exciting!!!

I haven't seen them before, I grew up loving them, and it's been one of my dreams to see them live for as long as I can remember.
You're a bit of an old hand at U2 gigs then!!! I was desprate to get to both those tours, but I was a student and far too poor! It'll be interesting to hear how this one compares to the previous ones.

The stadium where they are playing is mostly a rugby stadium, and from what I've heard, the size of the stage means there's pretty limited standing space, so I'm thinking I've got a seat. I don't know though, they are free tickets, so I won't know till the day!

I'll let you know how it goes! (I won't tell you much of course, won't spoil the suprise )

PerfectEmpire....

You have got one heck of a gig coming up!!!!!!

It.was.AMAZING!!!!

The set itself is incredible, great visual effects, but it says something about U2 that they completely owned it! Bono's voice was perfect, didn't even sound tired at the end. Had the crowd in the palm of his hand.

Highlight for me; still haven't found what I'm looking for, the crowd were so loud you could hardly hear Bono!

Amazing. Have a great time. You'll love it!!!

ISupportHer...hope you enjoyed that drink!

Funny, Just thinking of the concert as I was reading Spin just a few minutes ago. It had a picture of the stage setup. Said it's referred to as "the claw". It was HUGE with stage in the round. Must have been awesome!

Glad you had a good time and handled the crowd.

Yay! I'm glad it was good. I get worried because Bono is getting older...and older...so I am always afraid that he'll either die or lose his voice by the time I see him again! LOL

And "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" is always HUGE when it is played. Everybody sings along to that one!

I'm so happy you had a good time! Yay!

Wow. That was amazing. We got there 5 hours prior to show time and we waited, and waited, and waited. We ended up getting a great spot right up against the stage! Yay! It was a great show. The set was amazing.

That is so awesome!!! I saw U2 probably around 1985 (showing my age!)...Joshua Tree Tour. It was amazing. Well, I think it was amazing, I was pretty stoned! hehe I do remember the whole entire stadium singing together...it was so great!

I haven't been to a concert or anything like that in probably 15 years. I just can't seem to bring myself to do it. I've had lots of opportunities to see some great bands and great baseball games. The THOUGHT of being in a stadium...OMG...I am beginning to have an anxiety attack just thinking about it.

Anyway...didn't mean to make this all about me...Enjoy the show!

Yay, glad you enjoyed! They are some seriously good pictures too, looks like you had a pretty good spot.
How were they compared to the other tours you saw?
