Other Sensitive to electromagnetic frequencies

I feel a burning sensation in my hand when I use my cell phone that has wireless capabilities, although I only use it for phone and texting purposes. I use the speaker phone option for calls rather than putting it upside my head.

I also feel that same sensation if I try to hold my laptop in my lap, which I no longer do, and when I use the wireless mouse and keyboard for too long. I haven't tried any of the shield thingys yet, but have entertained the idea. Will have to gather my black tourmaline and relocate it. :)

I hear tones and frequencies rather often, too, as in daily. Most especially if I'm sitting in front of the television, where the wireless router is located. I used to think it was simply from attending too many concerts way too close to the giant speakers and I'd screwed up my hearing, but hearing tests have always checked out just fine. My hearing is just as amplified as my sense of smell, which can be both a blessing and a curse.

It feels like I can hear the currents of all things electric, pretty much, but some major fluctuations take place on occasion that make me wonder wtf. I've also wondered how much it plays a part in my and my husband's heart rhythm issues. My bro-in-law lives next to us and his heart has started acting up, too. Things that make me go hmmmm, but that make the medical staff look at me like I have three heads if I bring it up to them. Grrr...

My husband mentions hearing the fluctuations and strange tones once in a while, too, but not so much the frequent ongoing tones. That made me feel a little less "out there" knowing that he hears at least some of the same stuff. We also have overhead power lines running through our yard.

I just add it to my list of many things I'm ultra-f'n-sensitive to and try to remember to turn off the wifi each night before bed and limit my exposure, but good luck with that, be it at home or when you venture out. It's a lot like trying to avoid fragrances. Chances are pretty much slim to none. Hope you get some relief from the pain.

Not sensative to electro-waves so far as I’m aware (although, I am aware that for some people, this takes over their life in a really terrible way, and in some cases, I can’t help wondering if there’s a physiological or neurological issue going on which is undiagnosed, and the assumption being made is it’s about the invisible electric and radio currents floating around us - or maybe it’s the opposite, and it’s so normalised into our daily life now that most of us no longer notice....).

I have sensative hearing to the particular pitch that certain tv sets emit. I can tell when my next door neighbour has his tv on, regardless of whether he has the sound down. And for a lot of tv sets, I can hear the residual pitch sound that they emit briefly when you switch them off.

Not all tv sets, and only that particular pitch. It’s a pitch they emit seperate to the volume switch and the noise coming from the speakers. Had it since I was a kid. Remember having to ask them to turn the tv off in class when they only turned down the volume because of the subtle scream in my ears.

It’s weird, because I did a hearing test with my 7 year old nephew almost 2 years ago. He could still hear the higher pitches that young ears can detect, I couldn’t. I could only hear the lower pitches that deteriorated ear hairs pick up, consistent with my age. My dog heard the super high pitch that neither of us heard, and was noticeably distressed by it. Totally normal hearing all round.

Freaky stuff.

Those same tricky little hairs in our ears that determine how well we hear? Periodically my dad’s get clotted up and he gets vertigo and can’t stand up straight, which is a common thing. So weird, super-high-frequency pitches messing with your brain and making you feel ill? I can totally see why that would happen.

Ears are really weird.

Yes, the one person I know who is strongly affected by EM frequencies (like unbearably painfully affected) has Parkinson's. And has only had sensitivity with worsening Parkinson's.

(I'm a biologist, so any physicists out there please correct me if I've gone wrong here) from memory, this is to do with the resonant frequency of your ear canals. Which is dependent on the shape and size of your ear canals.

Our physics lecturer did an "experiment" with (really testing my long term memory and biologist brain here) a microphone attached to an ¿oscilloscope. By turning the frequency dial, there became a region of frequencies where suddenly one student was cringing, then another, then another.

I would think that's why some people can't stand chalk on chalkboard (me) and others are unbothered.

@HealingInProcess I'd recommend making EM-free zones in your house. Bedroom specifically. Most of us sleep with our phones right by our heads. Removing sources such as that for 8 hours each day may help your physiology to be more resilient when encountering EM during the day. Then build from there.

Yup me too... but I also f' with them somehow and mess up watches, batteries and electronics. So does my mom. I am also very sensitive to above or below normal range sound and my hearing tests are way above average. Depending on my stress levels I try to keep some noise reduction in place.

Me too! A constantly screech in my house when the tv is off but is powered up. Unplug it and bam! No more screech.

Old tvs were worse but even these current tvs have it.

I know its not my phone because walk into the bathroom with my phone and no screech.

Sensitive to energy, sometimes emf, sometimes energy from other people's thoughts/emotions/intentions.

For example, I cannot spend much time on Reddit. Too many people there who don't clean up after themselves psychologically and it's a big metallic dumping ground.

I am returning a pair of Bluetooth headphones I bought recently because it messed with my aura in a way that's hard to describe.

Apple technology seems harder on my body than Android.

Using mobile hotspot on my phone cannot be done for long periods or I end up feeling very weak and out of sorts.

I envy people who are not aware of these things. It must be nice going through life without your body reacting to it.

I have some friends who are very concerned about 5G and apparently there is a scientific collective against it also.

This thread made me think of something I saw a while ago that might be of interest.
I promise I'm not being a prat, I'm mentioning this because it seems relevant to this thread.

It is a product which was the result of a crowd funding project that raised almost £14,000.
Whether or not it works, I have no idea. I don't have problems with EM radiation, so I couldn't test it if I wanted too.
