Severe Fatigue Is Frustrating.

If anyone is at all interested in what came of this, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia this week. :(

Turns out Fibromyalgia was a misdiagnosis and something more serious is going on... I've been admitted to a hospital for supervision because I became so weak that I couldn't walk or stand on my own. Based on blood tests and physical exams it seems like I could have an autoimmune disease that's attacking my peripheral nerves. At first it looks exactly like Fibromyalgia, but often continues to get worse. Hopefully there's an accurate diagnosis soon.

I'm sorry you you are feeling so badly. I have had some bad side effects from meds, but I don't know what is what sometimes. I have been told I'm anemic, that's why I've been fainting, but I know there's something to do with the meds. I don't trust the docs at all. I hope you get the treatment you need.

Yeah, the chronic pain is a real bummer. I often can't think straight because of how horrible I feel most of the time. I really hope your daughter finds ways to cope with Fibromyalgia so that she can better enjoy life. :)

As of now, I think the diagnosis is going to be Motor-Sensory Peripheral Polyneuropathy, the specific kind I am unsure of because it depends on what part of my nerves are being damaged by my immune system. The last test I need for this is what determines that. I'm not sure when I'll be able to have that done as it has to be scheduled as an outpatient visit.
