Relationship Sex (lack Thereof) Help!!!

I can relate to your situation. I am a very romantic and intimate person. I have been with my wife 6 years and through the years we have had a rough time. I've found the closer we get the worse sex has become. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I've been reading a lot on this site and it seems someone who suffers from PTSD has a harder time sexually with someone they love and care about.

@Sangamo absolutely. But what if we use words like respect instead of love? My situation is weird cause I am more of a no strings attached gal and he is celibate?religious/loner. All we can agree about is that we would both like it but he still avoids it like the plague. Its because I care that I dont care...or at least really dont want to care cause sex is just the best way to shut down the flight/fight response out there. It really all depends. Some do. Some don't.

Even if you narrowed causes of PTSD down to only sexually based causes? There's no clear "Most people are over here in this group". Even if you focused down on one sexually based cause of PTSD? Adult rape. People tend to split into 2 main groups (isolationist v promiscuous), with a whole spectrum of people in between, Add in the whole durn range of sexual assault? Add in the whole durn range of death / threatened death / etc.? Pfft. Forget about any kind of consensus.

Are there often sexual repercussions with PTSD? Yes.
Always? No.
Most of the time? Debatable.
Of those who have repercussions, are they mostly the same ones? No.
Are there trends? Yes.
How many? Lots. Heaps. Whole lotta trends. That are often very different from each other.
