If you can't remember absolutely everything, you were not abused and are most likely imagining it.

This is a difficult one. My mind doesn't remember, but something I read or see on tv etc. causes very unpleasant reactions in my body.

No. You did not ask for it, you did not consent by not resisting, you did not deserve it. You did what you needed to do to survive. Please understand that when it comes to rape; the rapist is 100% at fault, so please do not accept blame where it does not belong.

I'm planning to speak to my T about grooming and sexual abuse tomorrow - and this is exactly the response I'm dreading.

Thanks @RussH, I needn't have worried - it couldn't have been further from her response to me. She was so empathic and very kind, we spent a long time talking things through and I know she can help me unpick it all. Very, very difficult session but I feel so much better just for having been able say what happened.
