Sexual trauma treatment centers in usa

My therapist suggested I do an intensive inpatient program for sexual trauma, c-ptsd. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or have they done this before? Any information you have would be helpful.

I'm sorry but I don't have any specific suggestions for you. My only general suggestion
is to research the programs and facilities well. The quality of treatment programs
can vary considerably. Some are not so great. Try reddit or review sites to see what
people are saying about their experiences. Try to find as many opinions as you can,
sometimes people will trash a program that can actually be pretty good. So again, do
as much research as you are able.

That idea came up once for me but my T and I couldn't find one that didn't come with locked doors. That is a huge trigger for me - I have to be able to get out of the room. They will let you "check out" but you can't just bail out the door at any time. It was kind of surprising that they were structured that way. We only looked at ones through Kaiser and the VA, so you may find others out there that are more flexible.
