General Silly Analogies...

So this morning, I woke up at about 5 am. The usual since my sufferer isolated suddenly with absolutely zero contact. My two cats, whom I love VERY dearly, noticed me moving, and instantly jumped at the chance for love and affection. The mornings have been the absolute worst for me, as I haven't been getting my "Good Morning, love you, have a great day" messages. I kept pushing the cats off me until I finally yelled "LEAVE ME ALONE!!" Then it dawned on me.....

I don't love them any less, I am just too focused on other things to even want to be touched by a loving kitty. I have also noticed I may be doing my own sort of "isolation" by not feeling the desire to contact a lot of people.

Does anyone else use silly analogies like this to help them through the isolation periods? For some reason, I feel oddly better. For now anyway....

I don't think that analogy is silly at ALL. I think it's great and it's one I'm going to hang on to in case I ever need it. I'm glad you shared it.

I'm literally doing everything I can to realize this isn't about me. Im having such a hard time. Probably because it's the first one since we became serious.

Very true. They are my babies. :)

I was thinking once this all blows over and we talk again about us coming up with a "safe word" so to speak. Something between just us that means "I love you, I'm still here, I just need time to breathe again." And maybe a once a week (should it ever go that long) "I'm alive" message.
