Skin Hurt

So my sarcoidosis is acting up, which means my lymphnodes are the size of golf balls and it is pushing out my skin. My skin hurts, like "oh my god don't even breathe near it" kind of hurt. I can't even explain the pain because it hurts so bloody much. I take a tincture for this, and my lymps are slowly draining, but in the meantime...

Has anyone had this happen to them? (probably not from lymphnodes I understand), but having your skin hurt? What do you do for it?

Oh man,.. I'm so sorry to hear this! I haven't had lymphnode pain like that but I have experienced nerve skin pain and it can be maddening..

I found that acupuncture and massage helped with that.. and I used calming essential oils like lavender and peppermint mixed with coconut oil to rub on the affected area. It didn't take the pain away but it did sooth it.

I really hold you feel better soon. Sounds so painful. :(

It might not be the same at all (probably not) but extreme exhaustion (and migraines) makes my skin hurt in a feverish way. Touch is painful. Friction is unbearable. I've found that sleep is the best (but that is just because mine is related to exhaustion) but over the counter pain meds help, too.

I was going to suggest a hot bath with oils or a heat pad, do you have an electric blanket that you could lay on ? Does heat help or worsen the symptoms?
Sorry that you are going thru this , am sending gentle healing hugs
Take care hun x

I have a lot of lymphatic swelling from the neck up. My weapon of choice is detox baths (a bath as hot as I can stand with either ground ginger or baking soda and Epsom salts which I buy in the giant size. Compresses don't stay hot long enough to really expel anything.) and 100% peppermint tea... I usually bulk buy it when it comes available during the holiday season. 20 bags for a buck though last year I think the bag count was lower.

P.S. [added in edit] Got any access to a sauna or a steam room? Sauna preferred. Or a jaccuzzi?

Skin is the largest "organ" Silver to expel toxins, the second is actually the respiratory system/lungs (exhalation is about 80% water) - so hydration with good old H2O, anti inflammatory teas like peppermint though there are others... (let your fingers do the walking on a search) combined with generating a sweat or cardio enough to do hard exhales (though that depends on if you have asthma or not, sorry don't remember)... all help. I don't particularly advise hot packs on areas of inflammation though.
