I went to see the hobbit today, with a friend. This is like one of the first time in weeks that I went out and did something social.
The horror, there were people everywhere. Luckily my friend is someone who is also scared of big crowds and has problems with the "zone" around her so we could talk togheter about all those weird people surrounding us, we were like a little raft floating on an endless sea of "mainstream people".
Anyhow we were first assigned chairs right in the middle of everybody. I felt really tense, like I was going to flip if people were going to be seated next to me, and behind me, and in front of me... so I weighed all the options in my head until I went and asked two people by the isle if they would change seats with us.
They were taken aback at the question and stared at me like cats. They said they were comfortable just were they were. So I worked up the courage to tell them I suffer from panic attacks and that I would have a hard time right there in the middle with all those people, and they budged.
One small victory :smug:
