Thanks for all ur wonderful posts!

They help. It's really really bad now. It never ends. So bad. So f*cking bad.

You are going to have to go to the triage bro if you think you can handle it on your own your crazy. You think your dad cries now you let this push you to go and do something bad. It will make it worse no mater what. I've gave you some options. Others have gave you some info and said get help. Now you are going to have to step up and get it!!! If you want to talk we can do it on here or if you need to talk to someone verbally that will not judge you than the offers still open and if you don't want me to know your number *67 but I will put mine right here out in the open and then it is up to you. Just post Yes and as soon as I see it you'll have my number and hell I don't even know your name. So to be blunt about the help you need to get you gotta take a leap of faith. Keep fighting brother. TEX

Lk1, Go get the help you need and deserve,at least make enquiries, sometimes there is waiting lists for this type of help and whilst you are at a stage where you r thinking it might be a good idea then go for it,My darling man has just been discharged after being admitted for some weeks similar to Tex's post above and whilst it is early days he is much improved and no longer wears the "Haunted" look he had,The right meds and some psych therapy has stopped the constant train of intrusive thoughts and we are now down to a manageable level of flashbacks rather than being in an almost constant state with them similar to as you describe above. Good luck mate...make those enquiries....

I called UCLA. They got back to me. I have to call them again tomorrow. My best friend is very adamant about me going to UCLA. I will do it. I promise. I have time now that I am switching jobs. I pray to God that it helps. I can't put into words how unbearable this is.

Willis, yes, I would like ur number.

Ur brother, LK

Good on the UCLA thing. Its about time. The job switch came just at the right time. I am anxious to here about there program they offer. This is going to be a real eye opener you will see the difference that intense treatment will do verse being the first letter in your last name and your last four. I will put my number in your inbox. Don't care if people have it but I managed to piss off some people because I stood up to them for questioning what they shouldn't have and an inside joke that was going. TEX

I am starting inpatient next week. Is this one good? Link Removed

It looks good I will read some to give an honest opinion but it boils down to what you are comfortable with and if they are equiped with the training to deal with combat PTSD. So be very specific when talking to them. Like me I was told I was an alcoholic by differat treatment places but they could never understand why I could drink for months straight and just quit for months. They new I had PTSD but they did not understand conditioning of the military and what combat PTSD entailed. Turns out they did not know what they were doing I was a self medicator and the reason I could just quit was conditioning the no pain no gain. This is just an idea of one experience I've had with treatment centers. When I went through inpatient treatment specifically designed for combat PTSD I was awaken to the bullshit that these other places were throughing. I went to them and told them after I was back on trac and told them they were full of it thier responce was oh well we specialize in childhood trama, substance abuse, and other mental disorders. Well why the f*ck were you treating me for four months three times a week outpatient. Turns out they took a lot of nonpaying patients and I had good insurance. So have them give you the hole run down on the amount and type of treatment you will be recieving and just use good judgement.

LK1. Nice job on making that move. It's half the battle they say. And that first move is a bitch sometimes. But congrats. It's going to get better.

Looked at the site. Looks pretty good. However, I would specify COMBAT PTSD to them. I have limited experience, but that does seem an important fact and where some things can go amiss.

Good Luck Man. You'll do well no worries.

I talked to them and they said it is silly to go across country to do this since there are ones in California that do the same thing. I was thinking New Jersey would be a good vacation. What do you think?

Hey LK1

Sometimes being completely removed from familiar surroundings can be very relaxing. It can help you focus and remove you from everyday stress close to home.

But I don't think there is a Yes or No answer to this. It really depends on you. If you think you will be more successful far away from home. Book that flight brother.

As far as Vacation goes. There are some great places within spitting distance of where you will be. Valley Forge, New York City, etc... Can be very beautiful in the spring time. Of course your money situation is a determining factor as well. But if there is nothing stopping you. Go ahead.

Peace
