Some "Dark" Humor

This may be a little morbid but sometimes at work we play a game: If I died tomorrow, what wouldn't I want someone to find in my desk?

Another game we contemplated when I interned at our local Hospice: What inscription would you want on your tombstone?

Mine are:

Desk--My artwork and drawings I do for therapy sessions.

Tombstone--"Is that a semi...?" or "But, it looked like a mushroom..."

Guess I'm in one of those strange moods tonight:doh:

Ok, I'll join this game. I don't find speculating on death morbid - it is just a fact of life.

Desk: my trigger diary, my nightmare artwork, and the ever-present Cadbury Creme Egg (I replace it once eaten, which happens about once a week, but I don't want someone else eating my Creme Egg!)

Tombstone: 'If my shadow's all that survives, I'm still alive' (a line from a Meat Loaf song) or 'lived hard, died harder' (depending on the circumstances of my death)

Thanks for joining in. The Cadbury Egg reminds me of things we used to do with those Easter marshmallow Peeps. Where I used to work we had to develop majorly warped senses of humor to survive so a fellow office mate (and PTSD sufferer) would pin Peeps to his bulletin board to see how long they would keep. The record was 11 months...and not longer only because he decided to clean his office and took it down. Not sure I would want someone finding that in my desk.

Another office mate had a thing for Twinkies--also notorius for elongated shelf-life.

I love it! :thumbs-up

Desk: my journal (the paper version that has all my fragmented perspectives in it... including little crayon drawings)

Tombstone:

"Finally, a good night's sleep!"
