I'm just really into Sia, lol.

Me too! I LOVE Sia, how emotive her voice is and her lyrics are amazing. My favourite songs at the moment are Alive, The Greatest (for trying to encourage myself), Unstoppable and Broken Glass (it's also on her new album). And I've always loved and related to Breathe Me and Chandelier. I can listen to her stuff on repeat endlessly, especially when I'm struggling and I just need to go somewhere else in my head.

I love this song, but especially these lyrics because it resonates with my fighting spirit. Especially after I started going to counseling and talking about my experiences, I realized that my abuse wasn't as clear cut as I could hope for. It was definitely abuse, there is not trying to get around that, but my abusers were hurting just as much as I did, and the abuse wasn't hate driven, but fear driven. It would have been easy to just hate them, but I couldn't- I was raised to take care of them and be the family protector, and seeing that although they hurt me, they were just scared and broken was hard. These lyrics resonate with me because it is like, although right now I don't know how to trust them again, I'm not going to just leave them either, so if these home is going to go up in flames because none of us know how to have a healthy relationship with each other, at least we will go down together.

This is a reassuring song for me. In fact my boyfriend played it to me, for me. It's well worth listening to, as it's beautiful.
