Staff Member Nighthawk Stepping Down

I wanted to let the membership know that @Nighthawk will be stepping down from moderating duties.

I'm very grateful to Night for all the time, energy, and care she has put into supporting this community in her staff role. And, I think many of us can identify with the challenge of 'putting yourself first'. It's so important to do that, when it comes to mental health. It's a great thing you are doing, @Nighthawk, in allowing yourself, and your well-being, to be a priority.

I hope we still see you around!

Thank you for your work and thank you for being a friend. I'm so glad that you made a tough decision because it's imperative that you take care of your healing, as echoed by the previous posters. I also sincerely hope that you remain a fixture here.

@Nighthawk. Thank you so much for all the work you have done to help this site. It is people like you that have kept this site running so well for so long. All the hours you have put into the running of this site goes unnoticed by so many. It is all the behind the scene work that no one thinks about that goes on to keep people as safe as they can be on the Internet and to keep things running smoothly that we all don't see. So a big thank you from all of us.

I hope you will stay and keep getting the support that so many of us share with each other on here.

I just want to take this opportunity to say thank you to @Nighthawk, for all the hard work you have dedicated to this forum. As an ex-mod here, I know just how much hard work and time you have put into this site. I also know just how hard it is to step down, because of the amount of time and dedication you have put in, and also how quickly that may be forgotten.

I, for one, will always think highly of mods, and ex-mods here, because I know just how much hard work it takes. Well done for everything you have done, and I wish you all the best in moving forwards from here. As other's have said, I hope to still see you around.

Thank you @Nighthawk for everything you have done and given to this community, as both a member and staff. You're one of the few people here who ever took the time to go out of your way to meet myself and Nicolette when near enough to you, in your country, and that is something that sticks within my memory. Most people are lots of talk, little action... and you demonstrated otherwise to myself from the get go of knowing you. You will be dearly missed, that much I can tell you.

Please don't be a stranger and say hello if you feel like it.

Im sure I will be around on the forum as a member :) hopefully still being of some use. I know at times one needs to step back in order to see a path forward.

BTW @anthony I flew across country to meet you and Nicolette in NY and to this day one of the best nights I haver ever had in the city. A memory I cherish. You got me to let my wall down. :)

I know. I knew where you lived then (state) and know now... why do you think we are both so appreciative of you? Sad to see you go from staff. We were both pretty touched by your effort to meet us when on your side of the world.

We had people who lived in NYC who didn't bother to turn-up to meet us, even after they organised it. And you flew across several states for dinner with us... we were quietly pretty chuffed.

Some years back Ed... we were just in Hawaii for 3 weeks. Will be in Las Vegas in May, I think.
