Hi,
I'm a 53 year old man.
I'm a survivor of sexual trauma from being molested when I was 8 years old. I lived with this secret for 40+ years! I felt shame,guilt and anger all those years. I have to forgive on a daily basis. I only have been working on these issues for a couple of years. Sometimes I have problems that I find myself falling back to my old ways!

Never feel guilty for something someone else did. Don't forget you were the victim not the abuser.

Hi Stephen,

Welcome to the forum! I am very glad that you have found us. This, as well as the sexabuse forum, are very safe places. There are lots of us on here. I, too, experienced sexual abuse throughout my childhood and now have C-PTSD. I attend therapy twice a week with a wonderful therapist and despite it being hard work am reaping the benefits slowly, but surely. With my complex history I still have lots of work to do.

Welcome to the forum Stephen. You will find a great deal of support and information here. Good on you for taking the step to talk about your trauma. It must have been very difficult at the time, but it is a step in a positive direction. Keep taking those positive steps. :)
