Hello all

Bit of a strange question and not really sure where to start . I have a very dear friend who has been trough some very traumatic experience and she is only 19 struggling greatly atm

The query I have is she has flashbacks which I appreciate is quite common however I witnessed one for the first time last night and its really unreal

Drifting off to sleep I notice her all of sudden start rapid breathing and she started to get a fast pulse she started to make little movements all this time she is unresponsive to light voice or pain then her breathing changed to long pauses then a gasp for air then repeat then an audible scream and clutching the bed still whilst completely unresponsive I would describe it as some sort of fit . It lasted for about 1-2 mins then she came round and had no memory of what just happened only that she had just had a flash back to said traumatic memory . She had a vague memory of hearing my voice but that was it.

Is this common or really strange ?
