He also said that it's normal to experience an increase in symptoms while doing therapy. He recommended that I try to increase the frequency of my visits to the Psycologist, to try to bash my way through this.

I did the same thing. For me, increasing my visits was from once to twice a week, that was all I had in me. And it does get worse before it gets better. I used to tell my psychiatrist that I thought I was better off before I started seeing him, but looking back (and it was only a few months ago for me) I am much better now, after deciding to fight through it. Literally. My P-Doc does Mixed Martial Arts as a hobby, and sometimes he would just haul me to the gym and give me gloves and tell me to have a go at him. I was ineffective (I'm 5'2", he is 6'7") but it always made me feels worlds better. Afterwards we would get our most constructive sessions done.

Wish I had a shrink like that. Next session I have take Her on a tour of a Battleship because she does not understand jack shit. So I have to print out a picture of the damn thing and show her the thing while I talk calmly about battle stations and fire teams.
