Sufferer Sufferer? Sounds So Negative. How About Roller Coaster-rider??

My battery is about to die. Funny, isn't it. Well, I'm new, not to life, not to PTSD totally, but to this forum. I actually just got diagnosed properly with PTSD, after being improperly diagnosed. For me, almost everything seemed to happen at once. YUP. Anyhow, nice to meet you.

PTSD is quite the roller coaster, but over time and with healing the ride gets less crazy. I hope you find this site helpful.

I felt confronted by the term sufferer when I arrived also, having had a counsellor that demanded I use the term survivor as often as was physically possible.

Over time I've come to see it as permission to acknowledge I am not doing great and that is ok.

She's a hell of a rollercoaster for sure ;)
