Suicide Line Chewed Me Out----but I Feel Better

I called the local line today. The lady knew me so she was mad.

She started to chew me out about how I am not telling anyone that I am in need etc.
"How can they HELP YOU if you don't ASK FOR HELP?" Yelling and talking over me.

She has no idea the depth of my suffering and how people run away when you get too far into it.

But she pissed me off so much that I feel better.

It is the same Crisis line that my boyfriend called after he kicked the holy sh*&t out of me once and he was suicidal. Someone on the other end said " You SHOULD kill yourself if you are beating your girlfriend!"

He was so upset that I, bruised like a bitch, had to calm HIM down.

Why did I call those monsters????

I am glad you guys are here. I need you all right now. You know how this feels. I don't know you guys but guess what. You mean a lot to me.

I urge you not to call that number again. I have not heard of people doing that, but it differs by state. You do not need that negativity when you are in this state of mind. Have you tried calling the Boys Town National Hotline? I know of people that have used them and felt great help from them.

What? Good god! No one should kill themselves. Beating a GF isnt good but jail, not dead.

I dont care if she knew you. That's wrong. I work in a call center as tech support and QA jumps up and down on us if we over talk a customer. The only time that David in QA (whom knows me) put notes that it was needed was an irrate customer trying to enforce hos power of me and I was like "look, this is how its going to be if you want me to help you" but mainly over talking isnt good.

And that's tech support. A crisis line is there for when you are on the edge. They should NEVER over talk and should NEVER get on you.

Im glad you feel better but that isnt right. I have massive empathy for my job but at a crisis line it would overflow majorly. Empathy empathy empathy! And active listening!

To report someone at a crisis line? The company or system should have a website and its generally in the contact us section. Im sure they have sups, all call centers have sups including 911 dispatchers.

Thank you. I see the business number. I wonder if I call it they will even listen to me. It is a small town with a lot lopsided power. My uncle is a Dr. Maybe he should do it.

Update--- I called it . No answer. F*(Cked over again. Why am I surprised?
So hung up on twice by the 1800 number. Chewed out by local..........if I were psychotic right now, I would think someone was TELLING me to to do it. Good F*(&ck!

Update 2- I finally found a line where they talked me out of that mind. The man was a saint. I told him about the other lady and he was sooooo sympathetic. He said no one will ever chew me out on that line.

That haze has drifted down. It fills my head sometimes and I cannot think. It never leaves but when I can get it down to 1/4 I can function somewhat.

Now back to fighting............Sigh..........back to learning how to live. It is nice to know I can call them if I need.
