Symptom list for ptsd?

My doctor told me the medication for nightmares/anxiety is one that is also used to lower blood pressure - if I were to take it I'd basically die because my blood pressure is already so low.

Prazosin? That's true, and you are going to have a really hard time finding something that addresses nightmares that won't lower your blood pressure. It isn't really the first choice for treating anxiety, though. It would be unusual for it to be prescribed to someone with GAD that doesn't have PTSD. There aren't too many anxiety medications that your can't take due to your blood pressure unless you're jumping straight to an antipsychotic or beta blocker.

I think it's time for me to focus on my anxiety and stop trying to take benzos - so - here I am doing the damn work. UGH!

How long have you been taking benzodiazepines? Which one are you taking? What is your dose? How often do you take it?
