General Taking Care Of Me

Thanks CB.

To be honest I think it is just stress of the last few days now taking possession of my foot. Well it has my hands, wrists and toes, so why not my feet.

Thanks for that. I will look it up and check it out. But so many different aches and pains crop up, I have lost track of which is what now LOL.

Most of them I do now put down to stress if the last few days previous have been just that, stressful.

Today I had a much needed, great day out with my youngest daughter.

We went to a Rock, Gem & Crystal exhibition, it was so good to get away from the house for a day. Lunch out and a bit of shopping before heading home.

Hubby was fine watching the first day of the new rugby league season. Sat in front of TV for most of day, but he deserves a day off as well. He has just gone to bed exhausted, but relaxed.

So a good day had by all. :D

Today I received a new date for surgery, to remove my Gall Bladder. It is for Thursday 3rd of March.

I just hope this time there are no hold ups, cancellations or anything. After the last episode, I really do not want to have to have any delays.

I have phoned my daughter and she is going to book the day off work, then I can ring and confirm with the hospital.

Just have to tell hubby now, he is asleep just now. Must have tired him out more than I thought last night.

Hoping you had a delightful Valentine's! :)

I just put your date in my calendar, so I'll be in prayer with you that day. I'm so glad your daughter is going to be with you!
Sending much love!!!
May peace and healing bless your heart, body and spirit,
Deer

My sister had hers out, and really was surprised at how quickly she recovered. I do hope it's the same for you! Do you think copious more waffles would help, or some other terribly healing American 'delicacy'? Yes, am using that tongue in cheek-I know some of this stuff is awful, really, but if there's anything you think would perk you up post-op, say the word! I'll wing it over there in lieu of the usual get-well card. They don't taste very good with syrup- little cardboardy, who knew? :)

Thanks Annie, I will be teaching hubby how to cook pancakes properly as well as how to use the waffle iron.

Don't they say plenty of ice cream too when you are recovering from surgery.

I will have to see what delicacies you have that we don't have, then let you know.

You probably know better than me with that though.

Aha! I'll have to put my little teeny Yank brain to work and sort out which dreadful but yummy items are lacking over there. I'm pretty sure ice cream would melt enough to make the address unreadable, but we have some flavours that ARE amazing! :) I do feel you should tell your daughter to have a generous supply handy, however, in case she's missed the information that ice cream is absolutely key in the healing process. Hee! That JUST reminded me of when I was in the hospital , in Taunton, Somerset after having my sons- when they brought the med cart around, they had bottles of Guiness on it for the nursing mothers!!! I thought that was just the most wonderful thing in the world! There's some quick healing for you! :)

Well as I expected hubby went down hill a bit when I told him my surgery date. He had to know, not really something I could keep from him until the day before.

He will survive, he has been through it once, so to speak. But will ask them not to cancel or change anything when I phone to confirm I will except the date given.

I will explain the situation to them again. One last chance for the NHS to get it right.

I did phone the hospital on Friday, to confirm I would be there on the 3rd of March.

I also asked if it would be possible for it not to be cancelled unless absolutely necessary and could it be arranged for me to be one of the early ones on the days list. I did explain why and the lady I spoke, was the one who made the list up. She would put me first on the list, with a note attached, so they would not cancel or push me further down the list unless there was an emergency to be done first.

So all being well it will be done and sorted this time with no hold ups.

Tomorrow I am picking up our grandson, he is staying the night and then I am taking him out on Tuesday. Not quite sure where yet, but was thinking about a museum with loads of animals, large and small.

Thursday I will pick up our granddaughter to come and stay the night, then day out with her on Friday. Where I will take her is a mystery to me just yet. May end up going back to same museum, as she has not been there either. But that depends on how it goes with our grandson.

Either way 2 days out for me this week and 2 fun nights for them with granddad.
