Medical Marijuana gives me dreamless sleep, it shut off flashbacks, what I call the slide show, and brought me out of the state of hyper vigilance for the first time in decades.
I tried every other med on the market first. SSRI's made gave me complete insomnia that led to mania and psychosis. Even anti-psychotics made me hallucinate because I would get stuck in between sleep and awake. I said I would never try it but the point in time came when nothing else was offered due to the side effects I had experienced that led to my hospitalization. Plus my symptoms were 10X's worse after discontinuing all medications immediately, so I had no better choice.
It worked the first night, and got more effective over the course of 3-4 days. At which time I quit using it until I began experiencing nightmares/insomnia and hypervigilance. Now with counseling, diet and exercise these symptoms are decreasing in both intensity and frequency. If you are able to I suggest you give it a try, under a Dr.'s supervision.
Don't abuse it and choose the weakest variety you can with the highest possible canabinoids (CBD), the best I could find had about equal CBD/THC content. But was lower in both than the strongest stuff they had. THC is what makes people high, I don't give a shit about getting high. If it works for you like it did me, you'll never feel high, you'll just experience peace, with clear thoughts and the best sleep you can ever remember having. For me it leaves me clear headed I've never over slept on it and I feel great until I begin experiencing hypervigilance again.
