Tattoos Anyone?

Wow, I would never think to put a tattoo there! How awesome! My dad totally drools over everyone else's ink, but he's never said anything about mine, so I think he disapproves. The next one I want to get is for my mother and eventually I'll have a large lotus on my back (my fave flower).

Yeah, it's darker now, but the only one in my family that says anything is my brother who said, "what's next a bar through your nose?" and my favorite 10 year old nephew (his son), "hey, Auntie, is that dust on your ear?".

Otherwise, my mother tries not to look. Of course, I make a point of wearing my hair up around her ;)

this is the Autism puzzle piece, my third tattoo.
April is Autism Awareness month. :)

I'm glad my tattoo's have faded because what seemed suitable when I was 15 would not be suitable to have any grandkids ( which will probably soon be here ) see. My first forearm tattoo was the panther which is pretty standard around the world, my second was an eagle carrying off a naked female while biting her boob and thanks to the fading of time most people can't see this for what it is, I still like the tattoo but I'm grateful that it's not easily recognisable.

I have two. Got them at the same time. I have a Maltese cross on the back of my left shoulder and a Star of life on the right.

This was the night I got my tattoo so it's still pretty red!

The yellow rose if for a couple of things. Yellow roses are for friendship and I got this after a very close friend of mine passed away. Her daughter talked me into getting a tattoo and we did it together so wanted to get something to remember her mom by. The other reason for the rose is that the first time my husband and I met in person (we met online and had talked back and forth for some time), he gave me a yellow rose. He then gave me a dozen on our wedding day:)

The butterfly is special to me. Years ago my dad and step mom gave me a ring and it was a butterfly and for years I wore it as my good luck charm. Then when I got engaged, I stopped wearing it and carried it in my wallet for a long time. Butterflies, for me, represent new beginnings. When I got married, I saw it as my new start to life. We had a butterfly theme at the wedding and had butterflies all up our cake and had a quote on the cake table that read "Just when the caterpillar thought it's life was over, it became a butterfly". I had all of this planned for the wedding at the time I got my tattoo. I made the butterfly purple in my tattoo because all my bridesmaids wore purple so I coloured the butterfly to represent their importance in my life.

Don't regret it for one minute! However, don't know if I would ever get another one. The itching as it healed almost drove me nuts!!

I got an Eye of Horus on my neck and I have already designed a tattoo of Link Removed. I haven't decided yet where exactly to put the two gods, but since I am right handed Thot (intellect) will be on the left side of my body and Anubis (action) on the right side.

As a sort of devil's advocate, since the left side of your brain controls the right side of your body, (I think the right side can run the whole body?) why not put Thot on that side since in a way it is governed more by logic than the other side?

@jimmy-joe: I see what you did there :D I'd likely have them inked that way if I wanted them on my skalp. But since they will be on my body, I'll have them sided according to the output (which hand I work with), and not according to the origin of the signals that produce the output (which brain hemisphere).

I hate to say it..... X was on the arm.... Had 2 get it covered Now just a yukky blob that I will get redone..... I never thought I would do it again but I might. If not for any reason to say I could....

BTW sexest yes BUT honestly...A piece of body art on a woman can be hot!
