DMerish,
Errgh! I haven't figured out the ins-and-outs of working with quotes yet!

Anyhoo, don't loose your presence, big guy~Maybe just learn to call it up when YOU WANT TO. I mean, if you're daughter is as beautiful as you say she is now, just think how things will be when she's fourteen or sixteen . . .

I think it is actually the darkness inside me, my past traumas, my past in general that size people up and prepares to defend her that fling me into the panic episodes.

If I am understanding you correctly it's the know what you are capable of doing to someone who would hurt you precious little joy. That it's knowing how inhuman you could and possibly would be that scares you and causes the panic attack. Am I reading you correctly or too far into your words?

If I am correct, I get that too. I have impulse control issues and have done and said things that I deeply regret in the name of protecting myself and my children. Many of which I don't admit to anybody. I have been able to stop before anything seriously illegal happened but it was close a couple of times. Embarrassment shall now ensue.

Why would anyone think its ok if I was 5'6 and 135 soaking wet to approach a child with her father

I had to ask my husband, who's 5'4 and has a wiry build, if anything like this had happened when he took any of our kids out. I'm guessing not, at least in a way that bothered him, cause he said he couldn't remember and would have to think about it.
