The First Thing I Do When I Wake Up In The Morning Is...

A deep breath exercise that counts to 4 on the nostril inhale, the hold, the gentle mouth exhale, and the pause.
Some yoga poses while I'm still in bed to stretch out some of the aches, with any luck.
Tell myself how much I love me and that I'm worth every single second I spend on my healthy self-care choices.
Unless I have to pee really bad, then it's off to the loo with no stopping in between. lol
 
  1. I usually wake up in the middle of spinning thoughts or dreams, so I pray, repeat positive affirmations and accomplishments to try to shake myself out of it. Sometimes, on a good day, I wake up with worship music in my mind. :tup:
  2. Get up, wash my hands and turn on Morning Joe (MSNBC).
  3. Have tea and breakfast with Joe and Mika.
  4. Brush my teeth.
  5. Go up to the loft to read email, check phone, and look for jobs.
Exciting, yes? :p
