The First Thing I Do When I Wake Up In The Morning Is...

If I feel peaceful be thankful, if from a nightmare deal with my anxiety. Coffee and turn on my lap top.

The first thing I do is check my phone.

Technology is my caffeine. It engages my mind and wakes me up. I can't have regular kinds of caffeine that people ingest in massive quantities. (I.e. Coffee)

In a single night I wake up several times, but this is generally how it works:
  1. Look at time, drink some water, make sure white noise is still running, go back to sleep.
  2. Look at time, grumble it's only been an hour since the last time, check white noise, go back to sleep.
  3. Look at time, grumble it's only been an hour since the last time, drink some water, go to loo, complaining about drinking too much water, check white noise, go back to sleep.
  4. Look at time, try to drink some water, realise I had my arm above my head while asleep now it's totally numb, wait for feeling to return, drink some water, check white noise, go to sleep.
  5. Shoot awake from alarm, try to turn it off, f*ck arm numb again, listen to bloody irritating noise waiting for feeling to return, turn off alarm. f*ck I'm tired.

So many peeps got dogs!

It varies a little depending on sleep patterns, if having nightmares or not and level of depression.

Bathroom first for ablutions, make bed get dressed. Water the plants.
Then Breakfast and teeth
Ankle and shoulder physio stretch exercises, check post, put on laundry, quick tidy up and wash the dishes.

I would like to have a morning alarm that plays music - preferably you can decide what songs it will play the night before.

Shall have to investigate options.
