News The Hillary Support Thread!

Our so-called liberal media is really destroying our democracy. By continuing to report Trump's latest faux pas instead of policy analysis, most voters truly cannot see any difference between the candidates.

It's great seeing Fox "newz" thugs finally being outed for the disgusting human beings that they are. That Trump's campaign has hired Roger Ailes says so much. The fact that Trump cannot find seasoned, ethical human beings to work with him say much about his character. Abusers tend to prefer to hang out in groups with other abusers or with people who can be abused.

Hillary has friends supporting her from even her childhood years. That right there says a lot about a person. The ability to make and keep long-term friendships with diverse people from all walks of life is a good sign of good mental health and excellent character. The GOP leaders can only dream of having non-sociopathic friends. When they campaign, they tend to have to pull from party insiders no matter how much corruption is in their background, since they don't tend to form lasting relationships with healthy people.

I think a lot of the hatred from right-wing men in particular is the fear that a woman in power will treat men as the men in power have treated women all these years. They don't get that healthy people aren't petty and cruel like that. Even if Hillary wasn't running for POTUS, she has a full, happy life already. She doesn't need or crave power or she would have stepped on so many people she wouldn't be surrounded by such long-term friends.

It's very telling that few GOP leaders have children who still speak with them. When I envision what I want my life to look like, it looks a whole lot more like what Dem's personal lives tend to be...filled with service, good friends, and support in good times and bad.

Watching the commander in chief forum.

!!!!!

So damn tired of this email shit! The email crap doesn't affect 99.999999% of Americans yet it's a top Hillary topic. I wish they'd focus on the real issues.

Duckster has lame responses. How to stop 22 vet suicides a day? Better mental health care! (My dog could have come up with this answer.) What to do about military rapes? Punish rapists! OMG why didn't we know the solution was that easy?

Hillary followed the rules and didn't bash Trump. Trump is bashing Hillary constantly. Matt Laurer won't hold him to the rules and put him in his place. Where is Lawrence o'donnell when you need him?!? (He doesn't let republicans respond to questions by deflecting to bashing Hillary-----last night he cut the pub guy off and ended the clip lmao.)

@EveHarrington I got to hear a podcast today with Hillary. Did you know she really enjoys TedTalks. Have you heard of them? If not they are really worth checking out. I now wonder if I have watched any of the same TedTalks Hillary has watched, hmmm? ;) @joeylittle is it okay to talk about this if I am not providing a link? Please let me know. I sometimes have difficulty understanding the rules and such. I don't want to break them.

You're totally fine. This isn't a debate thread, this is a thread to share resources about Clinton/her campaign/etc. So, post links if you've got them, or just share search terms, or just talk about what you've seen. It's all good.

I was kind of sad about the commander in chief forum. The vets seemed frustrated that Matt didn't really ask anything of much substance/concern to everyday people. I guess SOME was of concern to military higher-ups but c'mon, people want to know how a president will improve their PERSONAL lives. I really do think they dropped the ball------especially by selecting a fluffy morning show lightweight like Matt Laurer. I'm also sad that Hillary was put on the defensive from the moment she was asked her first question. I wish these news people would get SOMETHING right. My patience is growing thin with most of them, across all networks. I wish there was more focus on all the awesome stuff Hillary has done over the years. I wish there would be a vetting process for presidential nominees------this is turning into a circus because Trump constantly deflects from real issues with his hourly outrageous antics. I am PRAYING the debate moderators can give us something of substance despite whatever Trump may do.

Pray for Hillary's health or send her positive vibes if you're not a praying kind of person!

Kind of irked at the media. Questions of her campaign not releasing info fast enough! Good grief, the woman is sick, she's entitled to SOME privacy-----I mean the info is forthcoming but people are criticizing that it's not fast enough. I think we are a spoiled society who gets irritated when someone isn't tweeting their life in real time. People may think that they're entitled to know everything about Hillary but we're not. I think everyone deserves some privacy.

As someone who has issues with dehydration, I feel for her. (Is it just dehydration? This is what I'm seeing on Rachel Maddow now.) I can get dehydrated so easily. Water isn't enough for me. I end up grabbing soda if out in public (Gatorade ick) and drink cups of sea salt water if at home. (Seems counterintuitive lol but salt makes my body hold on to water and it works.) It's the only way I can rehydrate. Hot days do me in, plane rides are terrible!

It's just crazy how this campaign is progressing.

Edited-----

I see now where it is pneumonia too. These news clips aren't very clear lol.

I have to admit I lost my shite on someone the other day. She's a young college student on public aid, white, struggling with addiction, and a survivor of sexual violence. She asked me if I was even going to bother to vote.

I told her OF COURSE I WAS!!! Also, that I'm so excited to FINALLY be able to cast a vote for a woman for President, and a highly qualified, pro-choice, pro-education, pro-healthcare, pro-ERA, pro-Equal Pay, pro-mental health candidate at that!!!

She said "well, I can't vote for someone who sends classified emails that way." I did lose it and ranted on about the double standards and disgusting media allowing a failed human being like Trump to get away with not even releasing his tax forms NOR his real medical forms. I challenged her to think about what a post-Hillary America will look like versus a post-Trump America (if it even exists.)

I apologized for my rant but I reminded her that she DID ask. I give her rides to her medical appointments but she won't see a counselor. I don't know that she'll ever hit me up for a ride again but sheesh....it's white women like her that really baffle me. Do they really think Trump will make us safer? That he'll advance women's rights?

She said she wasn't going to bother to vote. I told her that's her right and her decision but that every single part of her life and future opportunities is on the ballot, and to consider what life might be like with no public aid, no public funding of higher ed, no Medicaid, and no equal pay protections when she does graduate and find her job.

I felt sorry for unloading on her as she has enough problems to deal with. I think I need to isolate because I'm so sick of ignorant people voting for those who truly are indifferent to the effects of their votes on our lives, and especially callous as to the suffering they create for "the least of us" - those who live in poverty, are sick, disabled, elderly, working poor, unsupported parents, and the very young.
