It's a shame when younger generations (did I really just say that? Time to wax my walking cane!) don't understand what a privilege it is to vote and what personal and physical abuse women and blacks endured for ALL to have the right. I like to whip out a little history lesson when I meet people who say, why bother?

I am looking forward to the debate on Monday and did a little volunteer work as well. I was reading an article about Hill prepping for both Trumps...the subdued one or the wacked loud mouth. He seemed to try to play by the rules for a couple weeks and his numbers went up, then he started shooting off his mouth again. We'll see what happens.

This clown has to take the circus everywhere he goes. Truly hope media sources can downplay this during the debate and not give that monkey faced b*ch any camera time.

Just think for a sec what it would be like if you had to do the debate of your life while the other woman was in the audience. I hope she has the decency to not attend.

I don't know, that affair was a very long time ago. My sense is, if Hillary weathered that storm when it was actually in process, she'll be fine in the long-gone aftermath of it now. But there is no question, this debate is going to be very significant.

Yes, it was a long time ago, and I know Hillary's a strong woman, but I wouldn't want to see any woman have to deal with that while doing the debate of her life. Those hurts don't just go away. I think her presence would be a nasty stressor for Hillary. There is too much at stake in this election, and this was a really low blow. I think it shows just how worried he is about appearing next to a normal, well-informed and experienced adult on the debate stage without his teleprompter to keep his craziness in check.

I hear what you are saying, but I (personally) worry that this is just another thing that will emphasize Hillary's gender - which is a huge reason why people are against her - as opposed to allowing her politics to be in the forefront. I don't think people would have the same thought about a male candidate - as in, how hard it would be to do a debate with the wife's ex lover in the front row. You know? It's an indicator of how extremely good Trump is at firing shots. He didn't say, 'I'll put Paula Jones in the front row'. No, he picked the old-school tabloid affair that in the press was all about compare and contrast: Hillary, the cold-as-ice blonde wife, vs Gennifer, the sexy blonde mistress. He went for the one where, if you put their photos side by side, and are inclined to want to throw shots at Hillary because you actually just hate her for being a woman, you can.

He's a f*cking clever monster, is what he is. Was Obama's first campaign this much about his black-ness as Clinton's is about her woman-ness? Sometimes I wonder how much this problem is just massive backlash from all the bigots who didn't want Obama in office - now they are extra riled up about having already tolerated a person of color, and they aren't going to stand for having a woman occupy that office.

Hillary so far has been stronger than I can imagine any candidate being, under this prolonged and severe level of muckraking she's been dealing with. And heaven help her if she needs to scratch her nose, we'll be reading the theories about how she has leprosy. :banghead:.

I think you're right. Trump's veiled message about making America great again is, I think, about making America white and male-dominated again. I've already written about how I've come to the sad conclusion that so many people's hatred of Hillary is because she's a woman. And no political candidate ever has ever gone through the scrutiny Hillary has gone through. I don't think even Obama did with all that birther nonsense. Oh, and can anyone remember the last time we had a president who wasn't involved in any scandals? Obama's a good egg. I don't agree with everything he's done, but I have no doubt he is a good soul.

Interesting story on MSNBC today about some papers already call Clinton the winner of the debate (no pressure!) while the bar is held so LOW for Rump and so HIGH for her. Maybe cuz she has.....intelligence and experience!!
