I now have a community agency checking on things here at home and to help because of my back and my sometimes impaired movement and pain. The lady brought me an article about a decompression machine that is one hour away from me, now in toronto. I have read about it on the internet but all 4 doctors that I have asked had no idea....I now have a legitimate article!!! I can't wait to bring it to my doctor.

It is 90% effective for herniations, fibromyalgia, pinched nerves....and other things. There is a research study and I left my name and info. I fit all of the criteria listed and there is coverage. I am so excited...it feels like a miracle paper....

We then made some goals..if I get accepted..they will help find a driver and then when the treatments are over ( I think about 21) and I have pain relief:occasion: and better movement the agency also has an addiction specialist to help me get off of the pain killers and nerve medicatiion completely. Finally..a solution. Things don't feel so grim....I would be able to go back to work...move forward with life. Everyone please say a little prayer thaqt they accept me and it is soon!!!!!

Pand,

I hope that you get to do this and it works......Good luck!!!

Thanx everyone.....

It is a three phase treatment....

Spinal decompression..they take into account, weight, age and history of the condition

the conditions it can treat are: disc bulge and herniation, spinal stenosis, sciatica, neck pain, radiculopathy (pinched nerve) carpal tunnel syndrome, osteoarthritis, FIBROMYALGIA, degenerative disc disease and scoliosis. I know for many of us here fibromyalgia is something else we deal with.

The first phase (oxygen enhancement)uses biofeedback and the treatment is supposed to be very relaxing and not painful at all ( I would not have to go for epidurals, nerve blocks and joint blocks every 6 weeks)
The second phase involves inhaling 94% pure oxygen.....this results in a quicker recovery from muscle stiffnesss, which is caused by a build up of lactic acid, this is a vital phase for the healing of joints.
The third phase is the neuro-oxygen decompression system. You have to ingest a nutritional detoxification drink first...they call it a liquid miracle. It contains many minerals and vitamins.
To qualify you have to be between 18 and 65, experience chronic neck and low back pain and have tried at least two medications prescribed by your doctor.
Treatments take anywhere from two weeks to three months.

I am so excited.....I am praying that this will be the cure for me and that they accept me soon.

After further looking into it, I have this treatment done at physiotherapy. With out the oxygen and nutrient drink though. I find that it does help with the pain but only short term for a few days, this is post surgery though. Prior to surgery, it did help quite a bit but my case was to far gone that it could help completely.

I hope they accept you and it helps. :)

Pand,

I wonder if they have this therapy here in the States, and in my area... Out of the conditions that you stated it treats....I have 6 of them....Fibro, neck pain, carpel tunnel, bulging disc, osteoarthritis, and pinched nerve...Plus the I have COPD, kidney issues and let's not forget PTSD....

Other than all of that... I feel WONDERFUL.....LOL!!!!!!!!!:rofl::rofl:

If it wasn't for feeling like shit, I wouldn't feel anything....

I know they do have it there....I just am not sure what states it is available, it was available there before canada. Try to google it or maybe even ask a doc that you trust....

I hope that you will keep posting, how this tx is working for you! It would be VERY interesting to learn how this process works and what your experience of it becomes. Best to you Pandora!:occasion:

Pandora,

Congrats on finding something to help your back. I really hope it works!

In my area (Tampa, FL) they have a clinic that specialized in this procedure. I'm fairly sure it's new...like in the last couple of years. I don't know if it's in other areas, but I'm sure it is.

Good luck
Lisa

Well...i had my assessment, I qualify, he told me I have a back of a 60 year old and if I had waited too much longer it would not be effective. The cost was 2000.00 (my mom covered it for now) my private insurance should cover approx, 700.00 and then I should get half of the remainder owing on my income tax, I thought I was going to have to drive one hour and a half each way and it turns out....there is a machine where I went today and that is only 45min each way. I start sept 12....20-25 treatments....two times per week.

Again, everyone say a little prayer.....I hope this is my miracle cure.
