Late at night I like to browse through missing people cases. This may sound strange but I am curious about those stories and the whereabouts of those people who just..vanished

However I noticed whenever I look at these people..someone begins to watch me. He isn't real and in rational state I can tell myself that.

However when he is "there" I hear knocks and taps on my window. A couple years ago I even had hallucinations when my bed was next to my window. A finger was tapping on my window and it was wrinkly and bony. Since that hallucination i have never been brave enough to look out my bedroom window at night. But I still hear him. He's always at the same window, the one facing my garage roof.

I was hearing him tonight and it scared me to the point of tears and I don't understand what is going on. I have no idea of if this is linked to my ptsd or what :/

Do you have this experience when you are sleep deprived and/or under a lot of stress? Have you spoken about it with your T?

I hallucinated years ago when I was horribly sleep deprived. Your brain goes into a dream state when you are that exhausted and you dream with your eyes open. Do you only see him when you are about to sleep or just waking up? It may be hypnagogic hallucinations.

Mine were a variety. I didn't have repeat images, just all sorts of unpredictable, terrifying visions. That's one of the worst things for someone who has PTSD. Talk about unpredictable terror. We need the safe haven of our homes!

Has it only happened in the home you live in now? Has anything else bizarre happened? And has anyone else seen it or experienced house related weirdness? Then it could be paranormal. But that is rare.

I haven't noticed a difference in whether I'm sleep deprived or not. I actually slept a lot today and the hallucinations still happened

This is the same house I've lived in from the age of 4 so I don't 'recall anything abnormal in my toddlerhood home. Nobody else in my family seems to hear or be effected by this thing I'm hearing

I would definitely talk about it with your therapist. S/he could ask all the right questions and help you figure this out.

I wish you weren't seeing this. I used to keep bright lights on until I went to sleep and then keep my eyes shut when I went to bed.

My hallucinations stopped when I caught up on sleep and quit my stressful job. I hope you get an easy remedy like that!

He sounds like a shadow figure. I think you may want to find out more about this imaginary person: who is he? why is he there? etc. Maybe you could draw him or write a story about him? Then you could find out more.
