I joined this forum a few weeks ago, wondering what it would be like? I took an interest in PTSD about 7 years ago, when I was diagnosed with it! I have ADHD, Panic anxiety, generalised anxiety. According to a quack, I have bipolar (Winston Churchill had bipolar, I don't) and did have PTSD The trauma is gone along with the flashbacks and crazy dreams... Only the anxiety from the trauma's I had had gone away. My other anxieties stayed :(

I was expecting this forum to be like many others... Hard to tolerate!

What I have found, is that the amount of knowledge and understanding that goes on in here, is quite amazing!!! I was reading a thread about "empathy" the other week and whether anyone new it or not... This FORUM is full of "empathy"

The biggest thing I have noticed is... We are all from different parts of the world and we share the one goal (TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT OURSELVES). The similarities of our behaviour caused from our anxieties as a whole, cause me to take more notice of what you have to say.

Even the people who are being "poor me" on some occasions (Well we all do that from time to time). Being able to vent your feelings without feeling judged, is pretty good!

Many of the people on here, have sooo much nous intelligence! The knowledge they share is uplifting, I guess.

As much as I am a "sufferer" I would also like to be a "supporter" and I will do my best to behave :D

I agree. I've only been 'active' on this forum for a week maybe? But I have found it to be very helpful. I am glad that you do too. Would like to talk to you and get to know others here. If you need anything, feel free to PM me. Blessings! :)

Barconia, I've read some of your posts, you ARE a supporter. No doubt about it!

I totally agree about this forum. I've looked at a couple of others, but this place, and especially the people who come here, seems pretty special. I stopped in this morning, looking for something to help me get psyched up for today's therapy session (which I'm pretty much dreading, of course. LOL). In just a few minutes, you and jd9900 have me feeling that the day is "possible". Thanks to you both!
