Update on dad:

He's home now got home Tuesday. Finals Dx was Congenital Heart Failure, Diabetes, Kidney Failure, Pneumonia, Heart Attack. He had two stints put in, Miracle no damage to his heart. He had surgery Sat Morning and was out Tuesday morning. Ok, Now get this...the man is 80 and still works, him and mom were on the way to 2 different pharmacies because of the damn hospital calling both pharmacies for his meds, had to go sign for rehab, going to the grocery store to get special food for his new diet, then to get bird food for his bird friends outside. For crying out loud they had a gurney right outside his room waiting for him to say yes to the surgery that is how serious it was.

I told my dad I understand it's that old marine thing going on but it's ok not to be an overachiever. He goes yeah but I'm still alive and that is all that matters. :O_o::facepalm: I seriously love my dad! He is doing ok. UN believable. He hates being fussed over and to respect him I have to be careful. He can get rather mule headed about stuff. Guess the greatest gift I have is to trust him, that he knows what he needs and what to do. He earned that right. But man I love him..he inspires me.

My hubby survived his first heart attack by 17 years. Hang in there!

The fact that he's being crabby may have to do with his doctor's advice and warnings as much as it does with anything else. No one wants to hear about how they have to change their diet and all that. My hubby was more crabby about that than anything else.

I'm glad your dad is doing well now. It's hard to slow down even when you are knocked on your butt especially if you are the type of person used to moving. I thought my dad was going to lose it when he first got out of the hospital and had to take it easy. I believe he counted the minutes to the day that he could do what he wanted.
