Likewise @Lucycat if I have misinterpreted this which I don't think I have then I fully retract all statements I make. I will re read the thread in its entirety and will re visit the newspaper article.

If I have misunderstood I will pop a full apology on this thread.

I certainly don't see a need for any apology. You are entitled to your opinion, and clearly have a different, more personal perspective. You are allowed to be outraged just as I am at other issues!
 
Well, on the one hand, if it was "selfie-motivated", big fail. One, it's not a true selfie. Two, that kind of picture for a selfie is in incredibly poor taste (That is, a selfie for the purpose of attention on social media.)

On the other hand, what if the bomb was real and the plane went kerflooey? That picture could have been an important piece of evidence. Maybe he was indeed trying to break the tension, see the bomb, etc.

I'd like to think this wasn't "worse case scenario". If it was, I still don't think he deserves corporal punishment. Calling for violence scares me. Well, yes I did say in the Trump post that it's justified to stop another really bad dictator type figure (who shall remain nameless) if peaceful protesting doesn't work. That's another can of worms though.
