As some of you know, my cousin took his life last year and was an air force vet. He was struggling with PTSD from Afghanistan and went for help and was put on a three week waiting list. He didn't make it. That said, the military is well known for dropping the ball over and over when it comes to helping their people.

I am sorry for your loss!

I have done a great deal of research on this topic. Send men and women to war and then throw them back into Society with no help. It is unbelieveable! When a person fights to protect us, the least we can do is help them in their struggles when they come home due to it! So many men and women are now addicts, self medicating, and have no help. It is ridiculous that we, as a Country, don't step in and help!

For each of the 20 suicides is 20 less soldiers the government has to pay services for. They have no interest in helping them. It has to be fought and brought into the limelight just like the oil pipeline in North Dakota or it will just continue.
