Tim, your right spot on the money there mate.
Its the change in society. Like the military changes. Here in Australia your are no longer allowed to smack your child, and there is no longer the cane, or strap for doing something wrong in school. So, no discipline. Therefore, when the child is grown and goes to the military, he has no discipline to start with.
And now modern day military, there is no corporal punishment. Soldiers do have some degree of discipline, but very little to the days of old.
Now put that into the standard child, and you have children with no respect and no discipline.
If they were to have more discipline, they would be more positive and more goal orientated.
My son and Margaret's son have had stand up arguments. I would not have dared to do that.
Maybe a little off topic, but I will come back on now.
Negative people. Do you wonder why. Its everywhere you look. I don't think there is one TV station where the news is all positive. I have never seen politicians congratulating each other for a great decision. Over here they want to bring the boys home from Afghanistan. How about a news report on how many people they have trained and what infrastructure they have put in place.
The thing that pisses me off the most is the whining about trivial things. Like no car parks, the paper being delivered late. There is so much of it, sometimes, I realise I have fallen into the trap.
Well I am all over the shop here. Maybe I need to have a lay down.
