I’ve had a number of experiences over my lifetime that I can’t explain. Most of these I can easily forget or at least, they haven’t frightened me nor kept me awake at night.
Interestingly, I can’t recall of ever being frightened during these paranormal or UFO experiences though sometimes very confused. Yet it’s afterwards during my recall or flashback that my fears and hyper-vigilance will manifest — after realizing that the experience defied logic and was beyond my control.
At that point, I’ve sometimes experienced spine-chilling intensely frightening flashbacks. Yet during the actual paranormal event I was often feeling emotionally numb, as if in total disbelief.
There’s a loneliness and isolation that accompanies these paranormal experiences. Then, trying to explain them to another person (including a therapist) only adds to my feelings of loneliness.
