Trying To Understand The Episode " Conflict "

I never could understand
the animosity between
Little John and Cage..
in this episode..

Little John practically
hated Cage and treated him
like a bad soldier..
Little john knows Cage
is a darn good soldier
and you can depend on him..

Throughout the whole series
Little John knew Cage
was a good soldier and never would
have treated him in that way
even if they were tired..

I don't know why they did that
in this one episode..
Little John never had a problem
with Cage ever before that..

and good guy in all the episodes
but in this one
he was a bastard from the
opening moment..
They completely
changed his character
for this one episode..
I really didn't like it at all..
