I had the strangest experience throughout my childhood. It was like my life had two different camera lenses that would switch back and forth. I wonder if this was early dissociation stuff? It doesn't happen now that I'm grown, but it happened all the time when I was quite young.

Do you mean visually? As in there being a split in the view of the outside world. I what way did they switch? Where they ever there together and how did they differ/how did you know they were different?

I may relate a bit but need to know more!

Yeah, visually, but also internally. How I viewed my house was completely different from one camera to the other. My sense of space and distance and colour and stuff was completely different.

Were the cameras there at the same time or did they alternate and when/how?

They would alternate. It could shift really quickly. My sense of place and perspective of the size of things would shift.

Ah. Totally get that and I think it falls under derealisation. And I too have had it most of my life. Sometimes things are big and others small. Sometimes they look like they are viewed through a lens or a a tunnel. Sometimes colours change and there have even been times when it is like a strobe or separate photo like images scrolling past me. I think it can encompass many things.
