Half the folks I know are effed over by meds usually because the doc didn't do them right. Your body may just need to adjust? I was lucky since I was on already on Seizure meds so I could avoid/deflect PTSD meds until I figured it out. I survive my tension headaches with stretching first, massage second and ibuprofen last resort. So, I'll leave the med advice to others on here who have tried it all. I do know it can get you through rough spots and take the edge off until you can cope. Anyway, please listen & learn from everyone on here so you're smarter than the docs and not leaving yourself open to some throw-a-med-at-you-to-make-you-go-away doc.

Just remember Duffy, meds are a Plaster, once underneath starts to heal you can look at removing them.

years back I was dependent on meds, Not only because I couldn`t function without them but my body got addicted to them.

Been med free now about 4 years I think (memory is still shit, no cure for that!) and cope fairly well on a day to day basis. But you need to learn what triggers you and get back intouch with your feelings, there is much more aswell.

Its a long bumpy road we travel, but you will find plenty of brothers and sisters on route to pick you up and dust you down when you fall. Fall to often mind you and we will kick you in the arse aswell, in a loving Dance of the flaming arseholes sort of way.
