Hi There,

Thank you all for you concern, I've received a lot of PM's from people who've been concerned that I have not posted any updates and so I think it's time that I do that.

I'm very proud of him, I know that the first step is a big one and a difficult one. He's made some large ones and has finally realized that this will not end well if he does not get pro-active.

He's now on med's, its been 4 days and even though they are really making him very tired, I can see how much calmer he is. He starts his first TH session this week and he's really looking forward to it. Throughout this process I've been by his side attending every doctor's appointment along with him and will continue to make sure he stays on course.

I've hooked him up with a Military peer support group who have also been diagnosed with ptsd and all three of them have become friends. We just met them for a coffee last week and already they've been in touch numerous times. He feels like he's not alone in this battle any longer.

I'm not naive though I know it'll be a long and bumpy road ahead but at least he's on the road.

Thanks all,
Carmela

Carmela,

I am just so glad to hear this!

ANY steps are good steps. I know you have a realization of the rough path ahead but also know you are trying so hard to be a stabilizing presence.

Thinking of you, your husband and the rest of your family!

So very very glad to hear that things are calmer for you - have been thinking about you a lot.

So happy that you have found some help at last

Carmela,

I'm so glad that things are a bit better, and that he now has someone to talk to, that knows what he is going through....That, in itself is so helpful....

I'm also glad that you are standing by your man, and giving him the additional support that he needs....BUT....... Remember to take care of yourself, first and foremost...........

Yes, it will be a long road, with many hills, valleys, and a few winding roads along the way, but it will get better......

Hang in there.....
