the system on a whole is a mess. there is no for the people anymore. The only time any politician does something positive for folks is out of direct fear of losing his or her current political position. I don't care what party you belong to they are all in a case of terminally f*cked up. We cant even have a third party to oppose the two that don't or wont do things for us. I think the situation is rapidly going downhill and rifles will be needed in my life time. We will have to make a drastic change to this republic to regain control of the political process. it is currently for sale to those with deep pockets.

I would hope that somewhere there is someone that will help to change the current situation. If it goes to guns it will literally be every man for himself. This country will become total anarchy. So those with their fists in the air who tout that sort of thing will get to see it first hand. They'll be the first ones to cry out saying, 'somebody better do something!'

All I know is this-
Even though the VA is not affected by the shutdown, the body that distributes funds to them is.

We do, Red, the Independents. We were gaining in number a few years back, but it's like pulling teeth to get people to vote. I would trust Ron Paul but he's getting ready to retire and Rand talks like his father, still not sure he would do what he says. I'm really tired of diametrically opposed, light years apart politics. Nothing ever gets done.

Wouldn't bother me a bit to mosey on back toward the Constitutional ranch.

In my case and that of many others, it is the debt ceiling that is the issue. I found out in today's meeting. DFAS is in good shape, if you are not furloughed. The VA is still in trouble however, unless we get a miracle soon. GI Bill and Housing stipends are in the most trouble.

As I mentioned before, we have the same issues here.

There are some great idea's the new government has that the whole of Australia agree with, but some of the other parties will vote against it simply because they don't like the other party, not the act they are trying to bring
