Common-sense prevails... there are well known abbreviations specifically for PTSD, which this is a forum for it, then there are well know web abbreviations. Then there are things people just makeup, cut down or perpetuate... those are the ones that have no real place here without first stating in your post the full meaning.
DID, DDNOS, CBT, EMDR, etc, are well know and accepted PTSD abbreviations. T is made-up, PsyDoc is made-up, and perpetuated. So if you wanted to use those in your post, on a post by post basis, you simply need write it out once, bracket the abbreviation as in normal grammar, then use your abbreviation in the rest of your post.
"I went to see my EMDR Therapist (T) yesterday, and she was great. Do you have an EMDR T or do you do another form of PTSD therapy?"
Easy and simple explanation.
