Vent - My Daughters Trip May Not Happen Due To Storm

Grama-Herc....one important thing to remember........

If your daughter cannot come to visit this time please remember you have mended a huge rift and built lots of bridges over the last few months. You have a lot to be proud of and happy about even if your daughter's visit is delayed.

I don't want to get ahead of myself just yet, BUT-----the storm did make land fall south of me and looks like it will miss my daughter too! ! At least that is how it looks now.

It is getting windier and windier right now and will be raining soon. We are still going to get the storm, but it is no longer pitching such a big hissy fit

Pray and continue to pray for this reunion to happen on Thursday. I know it can be rescheduled, but I am selfish and I want it now---not later! Besides we have already talked about my daughter not being able to get the time off from work again later!

So hopefully the next time I post here I can use the "toasting smiley faces"
and everything will be going forward to a happy result

Keep thinking positive herc......you are going to have a great reunion, you deserve it.

I am so happy to hear that the storm is going to miss you both!!!! I am praying too and keeping my fingers and toes crossed too!!!!!.....And I am so tired right now my eyes are crossed as well ....ha ha......that might help too though!!!

Well, she flies tomorow MAYBE!

Seems that the cute little neurotic tropical storm named Fay has no clue where she wants to go. It looks like she now wants to change her direction and head directly for the airport my daughter is flying out of on Thursday.

Storms just simply do not grow in strength while over land---she did----these types of storms just simply do not decided to make sudden left turns---she apparently plan on it.

A-U-G-H ! ! ! My heart can not take much more of this. We still don't know if she is going to make the trip or not and she is due here in 25 hours. The stress is just killing me.

AND OH YEA I forgot this one!

"IF" she gets to come down here, it is a possibility the storm will be on top of her airport when she is suppose to fly home.

I'm stroking here! Hell, I'm running outta pills! We need to wait for the airport/airline to cancell the trip so we won't lose the money. If we cancell, oh well our bad, but if the airlines or airport do it then the trip can be rescheduled.

None of us are in a postion to lose this kind of money. I also need the cancellation to happen on the other end so I will not be stuck paying for the rental unit and all the baby things I have on reservation.

What a mess!

Remember the "things you can control" and "the things you can't", and "the wisdom to know the difference", right?

Focus on what you can control-----yourself and your coping strategies----and breathe.....You will deal with whatever happens when it happens, one thing at a time. Until then there's a lot of this that is not under your control at the moment.

And don't forget your sense of humour.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go and turn the hose on a huge Siamese cat.

It has been stuck way up in a tree howling, without food or water, for the last two hot days. No one could figure out what to do, and I tried shaking a treats bag, opening a can of tuna, and climbing the tree. No good. The kid whose cat it is didn't know what to do, and his drunken mother just stood under the tree swearing at it (hey, THAT'LL make it come down, lady!). Then I asked my vet and she suggested the hose! Good idea.

Wish me luck! (and I have my fingers and toes and whatever else will cross crossed for you).

I must be in a real goofy mood tonight. This reminded me of not too long ago I asked my husband if he would come and help me wash the dog (I was being serious BTW). He stood up and said, 'Well, if that's what they're calling it these days...ok.'

OK GUYS!
You finally got a smile on my face!

Guess the trip is a go! Unless otherwise notified I will be at the airport in the morning to pick my daughter "Lori" and my grandbaby "Rachael" at 10:57 a.m.

I have the worst case of nerves tonight. Just hope I can sleep. God, I hope I wake up in time. I am a wreck A-U-G-H ! ! !

All the breathing seems to be doing is to make me lightheaded and dizzy.

I have now reached a new level of P-A-N-I-C ! !

I am scared to death! So I am going to bath and go to bed.
