I'm having a low moment right now. I tried asking for guidence as to whom I can talk to on the weekend, but unless you are in the act of trying to kill yourself, the Veterans Affairs doesn't have any options. You have to wait until Monday, then fight to get help.
I've gone to the VA hospital on the weekend and waited for 6 hours, only to be told they only have people on-call. And, I would have to speak to a Social Worker. Social Workers are the lowest of the low. They only read the questions from a card and never try to genuinely help you. Same 'ol question: Do you want to hurt yourself? If you just want to talk because you are depressed, you will have to wait until monday. So, it would be my opinion that the VA isn't concerned about preventing the depression from getting out of hand.
Just really down right now. I don't have anywhere else to vent.
Family is out of the question, and friends,...well, I ain't got any.
I'm going to try to go out for a walk to get me out of this terrible down. I just wish I had someone I could talk to even for a lousy 10 minutes.
