Waking up every day with anxiety, last all day, anyone have this - hoping therapy will help

That describes most days for me lately. I try to do breathing exercises and yoga on a routine to lower my anxiety. If I get in and stay in a routine sometimes its tolerable. Therapy does help. But, what helps the most is self care and not fighting it.

@EveHarrington For me, personally, no. Because if I’ve got an outside cause for a symptom / that goes away when I deal with that outside cause (Malnourishment, hormones, med reaction, sleep dep, etc.)? I file it under that instead of PTSD-schtuff. There are certainly times when outside stuff impacts PTSD stuff, and the effects can also certainly domino or feed off of each other, but generally speaking outside causes are EasyButtons. When those are sorted? What I’ve got left is my baseline.

When my anxiety is running hot? That’s my baseline. All day, every day; waking up to 10-15 hours later; gradually coming on over the course of the day.

@Longtime ptsd Eve makes a very good point... it’s very easy to mistake outside influences as PTSD stuff, but those outside influences usually have super easy fixes. At least comparatively. Take a pill, change your diet, etc.

I hAve tried exercise. I know it is supposed to be good for ptsd.seems like I get really nervous during and after. I will keep on working on
Thanks for your reply

Just going to keep on keeping on. It's just getting through the day every day for another month till I see a therapist seems like I'm not going to make it but somehow I do

Thank you

I have yet to find anything that makes it go away. I have found things that don't make it worse ( caffeine is one. I stay the heck away from it all costs) and I find things that make it improve ( exercise is an example) but nothing to make it go away once it's there.
